# Exempt a campaign from the bounce back-off

> Sets exempt_from_backoff. When true, this campaign's contacts are left out of the warm-up bounce back-off (the 6-hourly check that rewinds a warming mailbox's ramp when its 14-day bounce rate is 5% or more over at least 10 sends): its bounces and its sends count in neither the rate nor the sample. Sends, contacts and statuses are not touched. Omitting the field or sending false stores false. New and cloned campaigns start at false. 404 if the campaign is not in the workspace.

**Minimum role:** `edit` (`x-min-role`). **Destructive:** `false` (`x-destructive`).
