# Update mailbox settings

> Updates limits, sender identity, burst rate and fast bounce polling. Every field is optional: an omitted field is left as it is. A daily_limit that is not a whole number refuses the call (flash 'Daily limit must be a whole number.') and saves NOTHING; negative becomes 0. sends_per_tick (1-50, default 1) is how many campaign sends one 30s send tick may make from this mailbox; each send still respects the daily cap and the campaign's min/max gap, so set the campaign gap to 0 for a real burst. fast_poll (IMAP mailboxes) moves the mailbox into the 10s bounce lane (INBOX + Junk, full DSN parser); send the string "1" to turn it on and "0" to turn it off (JSON false is dropped by the bridge and leaves it unchanged). first_name, last_name and signature are only touched when the field is present in the form; sending an empty value clears it. 404 if the mailbox is in another workspace; unknown id flashes 'Mailbox not found.'

**Minimum role:** `edit` (`x-min-role`). **Destructive:** `false` (`x-destructive`).
