# Move a lead to a pipeline stage

> Sets a contact's lead stage (board column). 400 (no flash) if the stage is not valid or contact_id is missing/zero; 404 if the contact is not in the workspace.

**Minimum role:** `edit` (`x-min-role`). **Destructive:** `false` (`x-destructive`).
